Counselling + Coaching + Consulting services Compassionate and knowledgeable support
for equestrians in all disciplines.
For many equestrians, the barn is more than just a place to board your horse—it's a second home and a second family. The deep commitment and dedication required to own and ride horses is often hard for those outside the equestrian world to fully grasp. With a lifelong passion for horses, I’ve been involved in the equestrian world since 1989 as a rider and instructor. For the past 7 years I have been working with equestrians in private practice. This firsthand experience allows me to empathize with the unique challenges that come with this lifestyle and to provide the tailored support you need.
Equestrian life comes with its own set of traumas, from accidents that rival the impact of a car crash to the sometimes heart-wrenching decisions that may follow. I offer compassionate, confidential counselling designed to help you navigate and recover from these significant life experiences. Whether dealing with the pressures of competition, personal issues affecting your riding, or the complexities of managing multiple roles within the equestrian community, I provide practical, evidence-based strategies to support your mental well-being. By working together, we can address what's getting in the way of you fully engaging in and enjoying your equestrian life.

Many riders struggle with performance anxiety regardless of discipline. It doesn't matter how good you are, anyone can have anxiety about going into the ring or performing in public.
When the worst happens we sometimes get stuck and can't let go of it. Dreams, flash backs, constant worry or fear of riding are all common symptoms of trauma in riders. It's possible to recover from Riding Fear with an appropriate approach to treatment.
Every barn has it big or small. People who make life difficult or even miserable are everywhere. I can help you uncover what, or who, is causing your barn drama dilemma and teach you strategies for managing the uncomfortable behavior.
Does your Coach, Parent or Partner tell you that you're doing great but you just don't believe it? Sometimes we are our own worst critic. Let me help you build some self-compassion and boost your confidence.
Perfectionism isn't just for Dressage riders or Hunters. It can be a problem for many riders. That nagging feeling that it's just not good enough - ever. Learn to let go of perfection and aim for excellence instead.
Want to be more present in the moment with your horse? Mindfulness training can help you focus on the here and now and let go of the past and future thoughts that are constantly intruding on your equestrian experience.
